Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine, or DOs, are fully licensed and board-certified physicians who practice in all areas of medicine. DOs emphasize a whole-person approach to treatment and receive extra training in the musculoskeletal system called osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT). DOs at One Medical typically practice in the field of family medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, or internal medicine, and may also integrate OMT.
I continue to strive for extending both the life span and health span of each patient, by enhancing the health literacy of my patients. I focus on practicing the 8 core subspecialties of Internal Medicine: Cardiology, Pulmonology, Hematology/Oncology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, Neurology and Infectious Disease for patients, 18 years of age and older, with interest in disease prevention. I continue to engage with research/higher education, previously as an Attending Physician at U of A. Before I completed my Internal Medicine Residency at Midwestern University | AzCOM | Canyon Vista Medical Center in Sierra Vista, AZ and Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, AZ, I completed medical school in Colorado and was in the inaugural class and graduated from Rocky Vista University | College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, Colorado. I spent an additional year during medical school in translational research at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus | Division of Medical Oncology with Dr. William A. Robinson, M.D., Ph.D., in the Robinson Research Laboratory. Prior to medical school, I completed a Master of Science in Biomedicine with a dual concentration in Human Medicine and Neuroscience at Colorado State University. Additionally, I earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Human Resources from Colorado State University in 2000.
