Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine, or DOs, are fully licensed and board-certified physicians who practice in all areas of medicine. DOs emphasize a whole-person approach to treatment and receive extra training in the musculoskeletal system called osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT). DOs at One Medical typically practice in the field of family medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, or internal medicine, and may also integrate OMT.
After earning my undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College, I went on to obtain my medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. I did my internship in Internal Medical at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA, and Residency in Family Medicine at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, where I was selected Chief Resident during my final year of residency. As an experienced primary care physician, I have worked in Public Health, in both acute and chronic primary care settings, have served in leadership positions in medical administration, and taught in medical school. My interest remains in caring for patients in a primary care setting where I enjoy managing chronic disease. I strongly believe in the importance of continuity of care, and how crucial it is to effective and safe medical care. I strive to ensure that each patient has proper follow-up, and I aim to be as thorough as possible during each patient’s visit. I am a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and I am board certified in Family Medicine.
